From The Beginning

I was born in September of 1986 to my young parents Jim and Angi. My Pops is full blooded Italian and my Momma is all sorts of an "English Mutt." But I mean look what a hot couple they are and that perfect little olive there they made...aka ME!

Blah, blah, blah I turned 1...2...3...4...5...6 and then oh shit 7. Here I am about 4 years old, trust me, you don't have to tell me what a doll I was. However, without watching a VHS (kids it's those rectangular things that play a video) I have no memory of my life before I was 7. From what I've seen though I was such a sweet, happy, little munchkin.

It was the summer of 1993 and I had been doing all my sports stuff. I was playing softball, running track, and playing soccer. On this day, I was pretty exhausted and dehydrated. My last memory was that I was drinking some water and asked for some more. The rest is what my mom experienced.

My mom remembers me choking (I don't remember eating anything). She thought that I was just choking, not that I was having a seizure. I was turning blue so it made sense. My mom picked me up and ran outside, yelling for help. A few of our neighbors ran over to help my mom. They gave me CPR and called 911. The ambulance got there and loaded me up.

I remember none of those things. Coming out of a grand mal seizure you are conscious but you don't remember you're actions, thoughts, or words for a few more minutes. The moment I was actually seeing things was when I was in the ambulance. I started to panic. My mom got in the ambulance with me and my Grandpa (paternal) followed the ambulance to the hospital.

I remember being in this big cold room in the hospital bed seeing my Grandpa and my Nana (nah~nah not naa~naa remember, I'm Italian). For whatever reason they're who I remember seeing; my parents were there of course, but their faces don't come to mind going back to that day. Things were about to change forever after that day.
